Job Description:

Provide administrative, coordination and therapy services to Families with at least one child, ages 0-12, identified to be at high to imminent risk of removal due to child abuse and/or neglect with the intent to prevent removal of children and maintain them safely in their own homes. All service activities are designed to support the outcomes of safety, permanence and well-being of Oklahoma's children.EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:Provide services with professional enthusiasm that are welcoming, engaging and accessible. These services are recovery focused, strengths based, culturally competent, consumer & family centered, co-occurring capable, and trauma-informed. Work as part of treatment team to meet the needs of our families in a timely and thorough manner. Interact with the families, NorthCare staff and collaborating partners in a respectful, genuine and professional manner.Promote an organizational culture within ISS and NorthCare that values clinically excellent services and professionalism in presentation as a representative of NorthCare.Coordinates and attends intake staffing(s), weekly staffing(s) and other support meetings on behalf of program manager as deemed appropriate by program manager or director.Completes 1-2 ISS chart reviews under the supervision of program manager to assist with the monitoring of program expectations and quality assurance of services provided to ISS families.Complete case reviews in ekids at ISS step-down, reviewing ISS clinician's involvement of case, step-down outcomes and recommendation of continued services.ISS Senior Therapist must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Immediately staff any case concerns, collaboration concerns and/or staff concerns with program manager.Provides up to 40% of time in direct consumer service. Maintains a caseload of 1-2 families for a time frame of 4-6 weeks, providing intensive clinical services and extensive professional diagnostic and treatment experience- Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Healthy Relationships to be utilized as warranted. Connecting families to appropriate community resources and services and further assists with overcoming barriers to accessing services. Examples include, but are not limited to, services for substance abuse and/or dependence, domestic violence, and behavioral health needs to parents and children. Ultimately, transitioning families to CHBS services within the 4-6 week period, with no break in services.Assisting families with concrete needs to meet emergent needs and further long-term stability utilizing special funding. Informal and no cost rescues should be explored first; up to $500 is available to assisting families. Once need is identified, funds are to be requested within 24-48 hours.Completes intake staffing documentation within 24 hours; progress notes are to be documented daily up to 24 hours, planned discharges within 24 hours of obtaining signatures and unplanned discharges within 72 hours of directive.Participates in trainings/workshops related to child and family therapy, evidenced-based practices and in expanding knowledge base in child mental health. Therapist will be trauma informed, culturally competent, co-occuring capable, adoption informed, recovery focused and strengths based in all work with clients.Employee will comply with all requirements to maintain professional licensure.Knowledgeable regarding: NorthCare's electronic record system and public folders; contract requirements, Monthly Services Utilization Report (MSUR), Department of Human Services Child Abuse & Prevention policies, DHS electronic record system Ekids.Perform other duties as required and/or assigned by the supervisor and or executive staff.Position requires a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related human services field and licensure in the State Of Oklahoma, in one of the mental health disciplines or under Board approved supervision for licensure. Licensed LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LBP, or under supervision preferred; if licensed, employee must complete continuing education requirements to required for licensure maintenance. Must display proficiency in the MS Word processing software and intermediate general computer skills. Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally with English-speaking individuals. Employee must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Casual professional dress is required with adherence to dress code requirements particular to the program as delineated by program manager. Every NorthCare employee is responsible for adhering to any and all laws, professional standards and ethical codes that apply to his/her job responsibilities.Must possess and maintain CPR, First Aid and CAPE certifications; or obtain within 30 days of employment with NorthCare, if required by program manager or supervisor. Must have current (within past year) TB test; or obtain within 30 days of employment with NorthCare. Must possess or obtain Core Level Training and Trauma Informed Training via myLearningPointe. within 30 days of employment with NorthCare. Must complete training to meet the requirements for Alcohol and Other Drugs Treatment Practitioner (AODTP) as scheduled by program manager and maintain AODTP status by completing annual continuing education requirements. Must complete ODMHSAS Behavioral Health Case Management Certification process as scheduled by program manager and maintain annual continuing education requirements to maintain certification.Must be COVID 19 vaccinated and follow CDC guidelines regarding COVID vaccination and Boosters.
