Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex /n• Work on medical/surgical unit with stepdown/PCU experience required /n• Must have acute care surgical floor experience with ENT and/or Transplant experience preferred /n• Care for patients pre and post-operatively with experience managing new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT or DHT /n• Handle both surgical patients (5:1 ratio) and stepdown area patients (3:1 ratio) /n• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients /n• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments /n• Assist physician in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures /n• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary /n• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products /n• Interact with family and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge /n• Make referrals for patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff /n• 1 year of nursing experience required /n• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required /n• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred /n• Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact license required /n• Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required /n• Strong verbal and written communication skills required /n/n Facility: /n This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced surgical care.
