site performs major modernization and modification of aircraft
across a broad portfolio of military products, including bombers,
advanced sensor aircraft and executive transport aircraft. Boeing
Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Systems
Engineer within the ETS&S Systems Engineering Capability. Our
engineering teams work with customers to develop integrated
solutions to enhance capabilities and performance across multiple
existing aircraft platforms. A successful member of this team will
understand and execute modifications and upgrades for Commercial
Derivative aircraft. Position Responsibilities: This position
requires excellent communication and leadership skills, detailed
knowledge and systems engineering experience supporting
modification and modernization programs. Top candidates will have

high ethical standards while delivering results. In this position
you will Lead your team to work across numerous engineering teams
to develop, coordinate, and drive system solutions. Apply systems
thinking to understand big picture and inter-relationships of all
Systems Integration activities – apply the principles of systems
thinking to accelerate performance Integrate and manage Systems
Engineering deliverables (functional analysis, requirements, safety
analysis, etc.) with Systems maturity plans Integrate and resolve
cross-functional technical issues across Systems IPT and other
engineering domains Develop the planning, organization,
implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes,
development assurance processes, risk and opportunity management,
and systems maturity planning Develop and maintain relationships
with peers, stakeholders, partners, and team members within and
outside organization Support FAA and Military Certification Mentor
and coach (ensuring team understands & executes Boeing processes,
ensuring quality of all the team's internal/external deliverables)
Travel periodically to support customer and supplier meetings
Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering Tools (MSOSA, CAMEO,
Rhapsody, DOORS, 3DX, etc.) Aircraft system and/or domain knowledge
in the following areas is preferred: MIL Radio, Mil Nav, Mission
System, Networking, Cabin Systems, IFE and Classified Processing,
787 Common Core Avionics, 777-300 AIMS/Avionics, 737-MAX 8/9/10
Avionics, LAIRCM, RWR, CMDS, Airworthiness, avionics interface /
mnemonics (ARINC 429), MIL-STD 1553 This is an Onsite position
located in Oklahoma City, OK. This position requires the ability to
obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires
US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or
final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic
Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science
(or equivalent) degree from an accredited program in a math- or
science-based discipline such as engineering, engineering
technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or
computer science. Minimum of 9 years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in
ICD development, functional / logical architecture, requirements
development, specification development, system functions and SSOW
development. Experience in System Architecture Development and
Modeling tools (CAMEO/MSOSA, Rhapsody) Experience in Requirements
Management and tools (i.e. IBM DOORs) Experience in verification &
validation of requirements Experience in risk, issue, and
opportunity management Experience project engineering and executing
system design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) Experience in systems
integration and test including lab integration, ground test, and
flight test Experience in Airworthiness and Certification (such as
FAA, EASA, or Military) INCOSE Certification Experience with
mentoring and leading other engineers Strong systems thinking,
problem-solving, and communication skills, with proven ability to
collaborate effectively across technical teams and leadership.
Ability to collaborate with team members and create plans for
executing on deliverables Typical Education/Experience: ( Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering
technology), computer science, engineering data science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9
or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination
of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent
qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred,
although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This
