Job DescriptionPosition SummarySmartChain Solutions is seeking a high energy, rock-star to lead our Outside Sales. We need an extremely motivated and fast-paced leader, who desires to join a growing startup and help build a successful and enduring organization. Oil and Gas experience is not necessary but outside sales and an entrepreneurial business acumen is a must. Compensation is salary and commission based with no cap on earnings. This is a temporary position with the possibility to remain employed in a full-time capacity after a period of 90 days.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAlways demonstrates highest ethical and professional standards Manages sales engagements from prospect research, cold calling, qualifying lead/fit assessment, develop a proposal and execute contracts to close the dealContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededServes customers by determining customer needs and tailoring the service offering accordinglyAdjusts content of sales presentations when penetrating different marketsFocuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential customersKeeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysesMonitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, services, and new servicesRecommends changes in product, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developmentsResolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to managementMaintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societiesProvides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer salesQualifications/SkillsBS/BA Degree Required Equivalent work experience, 4+ years related experience in a similar field or sales environment Enjoys startup environment with all hands-on deck attitudeHighly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in salesDemonstrated skills in prioritizing, organization, and time managementTeam player with ability to work independently to drive both personal and team goalsAbility to take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions to achieve goalsExcellent consultative selling skills, providing a tailored approach to each engagementProficiency using PC, Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, PowerPoint, Outlook & LinkedIn requiredAbility to drive to or fly to various meetings/clients sitesLimited overnight travel may be requiredValid drivers license is required
