Job Description:

Western Flyer is seeking an Insides Sales Associate to assist in booking freight on a daily basis. Ideal experience is Inside Sales within a 3PL or Transportation company.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for assisting in booking freight, working closely our 3rd Party Brokerage.

• Responsible for working with 3 PL brokers to book freight on a daily basis
• Searching Load Boards for new freight
• Must communicate efficiently and professionally with Fleet Managers and Customer Service Representatives
• Data entry of loads and freight into company system
• Responsible for understanding customer service / communications expectations and proactively working with Load Planning and Fleet Management to prioritize the meeting of expectations
• Proactive communication with Western Flyer Express customer base
• Responsible for input and appointment setting/modifications of loads booked
• Maintain compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, colleagues and managers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • 1-2 years of transportation experience preferred Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
    • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
