By joining the Austin Lane (AL) team, you will be leading the digital transformation occurring in the commercial construction industry leveraging your experience and knowledge to drive client value.Austin Lane is searching for a talented Construction Accountant Specialist with a passion for helping customers utilize our software to solve their business challenges. This individual will be the face of AL to our customers, providing support to the sales team with demo's to prospects and training new customers' team members as part of the software implementation process.This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Exceptional leadership and communication are required working with clients and the AL team to insure an exceptional Customer Experience. Primary responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing the materials used to train clients. This individual will stay current on the latest features to be sure the client knows how to utilize them in their installation. Listening and learning from customers when on site is also crucial, so new ideas from the customer are documented and communicated clearly as required for the installation or as features to be added into the product roadmap for future product release.Job DescriptionAs an Austin Lane Construction Accountant Specialist, you will conduct and manage the deployment of mobile software solutions in a professional environment. You must be self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a team. Responsibilities include training and testing of software products as well as providing ongoing support to customers and providing software demonstrations as requested. This position will require travel to customer locations throughout North America, typically two to three days in duration. Successful candidates will be vibrant, highly motivated, display a strong work ethic, and be well versed in the construction industry and related business processes.Responsibilities and DutiesPlan, schedule and deliver Product Demo's for prospects.Plan, schedule and deliver new installation training.Interaction with Customer to enable a successful deployment of the software.Proven ability to communicate complex concepts and technical benefits in business terms to clients at all levels as well as internal team members.Attentively listen and write up prospect needs in detail and communicate them effectively to sales team as well as AL management team.Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.Performs logic verification, release testing and beta support for assigned projectsAbility to support and interact with customer base on software concerns or issues.Research problems discovered during software deployments and document defect behavior.Ability to prepare technical step-by-step documentation.Ability to work on multiple assigned projects.Participates in development meetings.Drives process improvement.All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in accounting or construction engineering or other relevant combination of training and education3+ years' experience with construction industry required.Ability to teach others how to use technology in the construction industry.Skill to accurately work with and analyze a high volume of data under limited supervision.Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word required.Knowledge in construction job cost accounting and payroll processes.Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans.Uphold existing quality assurance standards and processes.Identify defects within software against standards.Exhibit communications and interpersonal skills.Organized and detailed oriented.Position Success Factors:Customer Focus; Planning & Executing; Problem Identification & Resolution; Presentation & Communication; Ambition; Creativity; Optimism; Results Ownership; Teamwork; Attendance & Dependability and Cultural Sensitivity.
