Job Description:
Freese and Nichols is searching for a Construction Management
Practice Leader in one of the following offices: Dallas, Fort
Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Oklahoma City, Atlanta, Tampa,
Raleigh or Charlotte. As Construction Management Practice Leader
you will be responsible for the overall development of the
Construction Management Practice across all Freese and Nichols
geographies for our municipal, county, water district/river
authority, transportation agency, airport, port, and rail/transit
agency clients.
Duties include:
* Collaborate with operational groups and sales team to implement
the company-wide Construction Management plan
* Responsible for coordinating sales with the Division Managers and
Group Managers in order to win work for the practice
* Work with Program Management/Construction Management (PMCM) Group
Managers companywide on workload sharing, team development, and
potential opportunities for individual career growth for PMCM
staff
* Build cooperation and mutual respect with all operational groups
and Account Directors across the company
* Develop client relationships across all geographies for the
practice area
* Identify potential opportunities and develop new clients
* Assist and encourage client representatives to document Client
Marketing Visits (CMV's)
* Conduct and participate in account and opportunity plans and
updates
* Work with client representatives to develop and update account
plans
* Work with Business Development Coordinators to do market research
within the practice
* Gather client feedback
* Participate on Design Build committee
* Develop yearly Market Scan Report
* Assist client representatives and others in specific sales
calls
* Provide input on the Go/No Go process
* Develop and execute the sales practice plans
* Develop annual practice sales goals
* Coordinate conferences and specific marketing events
* Coordinate sales activities on an on-going basis
* Provide input, coaching and feedback on client
representatives
Qualifications
* Post-secondary education or degree in related construction
management program
* 10+ years' experience working directly in construction management
with public sector clients on the sales and delivery of projects
during the construction phase
* Experience with the oversight of constructability reviews, risk
management and construction claims
* Experience with alternative delivery contracts and contract
administration
Preferred
* Construction management certifications
