Position Title:Epic EHR Application Analyst-
SecurityDepartment:Information SystemsJob Description:General
Description: -The EHR Application Analyst will assist in the
development, support and functionality roll out of an Electronic
Health Record system. - The EHR Application Analyst assists the
organization in optimizing their workflow processes through
building applications that are tailored to meet the organizations'
needs. - Responsible for learning the EHR system's capabilities and
functional use and applying knowledge of Healthcare Business
workflow to assist in the implementation of a system that meets
process needs.Essential Responsibilities: -Responsibilities listed

- Participates in all phases of the system development life cycle
including development of use cases and evaluation of software
solutions
- Develops, configures, and modifies moderately complex
information systems
- Creates documentation of business requirements, current and
future state workflows
- Designs, codes/configures, tests, debugs, documents, and
maintains program/applications
- Coordinates all testing phases of associated applications
during implements and upgrades
- Supports existing functionality with future expansion to
additional areas
- Develops strong relationships with end user communities,
customers, and business partners
- Utilizes best practices for use within the organization.
- Provides hands-on training as needed for end users
- Serves as a key onsite EHR IT resource for facility
implementation and support of a broad set of healthcare
applications.
- Acts as project manager for low to medium complex projects
- Leads and facilitates the facility's core clinical and business
systems team on IT activities
- Provides second level support as a broad EHR subject matter
expert to resolve incidents or fulfill requests
- Serves as project leader for implementations of EHR
applications software releases and new products
- Provides on-call assistance as needed
- Works with the - team to lead, monitor, and facilitate new
module/application testing
- Provides input to policies and procedures, training, and best
practices for use within the organization
- Works with the team and facility core team members to deliver
hands-on training as needed
- Participates in meetings as a member of organizational
leadership as required
- Builds strong relationships with core customer base (nurses,
physicians, revenue cycle, health information management, core team
members, etc.) and facility leadership
- Provisions application security levels and roles
- Establishes ownership of each particular security class
- Coordinates security template and role updates and establishes
a security change control process
- Coordinates security-related activity across physical
buildings, grounds, infrastructure, network, servers, operating
systems, and applications teams
- Works with application and compliance teams to design system,
level access
- Creates user records and maps them to templates built by
application coordinators/analysts
- Creates appropriate shared security classifications which do
not have specific application ownership
- Creates and maintains procedures to activate, deactivate, and
update user records
- Understands the EHR software security structures, including
user profiles, roles, and security classesGeneral Responsibilities:

- Participates in special projects as needed and performs other
duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 1 year of
applicable IT or clinical experienceOr equivalent combination of
education and experience. Four years of experience will be
considered equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. -
-Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: -Specific EHR
modules certification required within 3 months of class completion.
- Classes will begin within first 2 weeks of hire based on class
availability. -Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent
analytical, organization, and verbal communication skills. Ability
to work independently and within teams. Ability to solve complex
problems and understand customer needs. - Strong understanding of
healthcare business process and technology. Basic understanding of
healthcare workflows and terminology. Working knowledge of IT
solutions and interfacing a plus. EHR Certification is required
within 3 months of class completion. - Must be able to drive to
assigned sites to complete work. Must be able to travel in state
