Responsibilities
Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility):Cedar Ridge
Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment
services for ages 5-17. Our treatment programs provide a structured
and supportive treatment environment that promotes self acceptance
and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric
illness. Our multidisciplinary treatment teams consist of
psychiatrists, licensed therapists and highly-specialized nurses
who collaborate to develop and implement effective and
compassionate treatment plans for our patients.For more information

Utilization Review/Intake Coordinator evaluates patient medical
records and admission assessments to determine severity of
patient's illness and the appropriateness of level of care. Serves
as liaison for patients and facility with insurance companies.
Negotiates and advocates for patient length of stay and level of
care. Coordinates utilization review activities with other
departments to ensure reimbursement for services provided by the
facility. Promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and
objectives of Cedar Ridge. Performs duties in accordance with the
ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and
facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Qualifications
Experience:
- 3-5 years of clinical experience with a psychiatric mental
health population Education:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Social Work or
related field. MSN or MSW preferred. Licensure/Certification:
- Licensed Therapist or Social Worker (LPC/LCSW)
