This position may require domestic and international travel to a variety of locations for hands-on work with clients. Examples of projects that the Senior Planner will be responsible for are: Area Development Plans, Strategic Execution Plans, Building and Site Conceptual Designs, and facility condition assessments.Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as a lead facilitator during workshops
  • Performs a variety of tasks related to the collection, analysis, and interpretation of a variety of quantitative and qualitative data to prepare reports and maps.
  • Leads field evaluations and assessments
  • Leads internal and external project review meetings
  • Manages and researches planning requirements and standards
  • Supports the preparation of proposal and business development efforts
  • Supports team leadership roles to aid project execution
  • Applies a knowledge of federal planning principles, best practices, & techniques of planning
  • Prepares or reviews written and graphic reportsEducation and Experience
    • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or related field of study.
    • Experience: five (5) to ten (10) years' job-related experience.
    • Licensure/Certification: AICP or RLA (Preferred)Preferred Qualifications
      • Familiarity with federal planning projects, Department of Defense (primarily Army and Air Force) experience is strongly preferred.
      • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint), Adobe Suite, and Lumion (or other rendering software).
      • Must possess strong oral & written communication skills, and have strong organizational & time management skills.
