Job Description:

SUMMARY

The Material Handler is responsible for performing material deployment functions using the SAP computer system to ensure inventory accuracy and proper financial reporting. The responsibilities include compliance with all Smith & Nephew policies and procedures. Responsible for unloading daily shipments from all carriers that bring in shipments. Logging all shipments into the daily tracking data base and sorting the Shipments by designated department. This position will be required to maintain accurate inventory handling in assistance to cycle counts, material put-away, picking, shipping, processing Internal and External Loaner, Rental and Consignment (LRC) orders. The Material Handler will stand more than 50% of the shift and should be able to push, pull, and lift 40 lbs. alone and team lift 50+ lbs. The Material Handler will perform all associated responsibilities in accordance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

* Basic math knowledge: counting, addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions and decimals
* Computer skills: SAP, Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
