Supervisor of Learning and Development Job DetailsLevelManagement Job LocationMultiple: Grapevine, TX - Oklahoma City, OK Position TypeFull Time Education LevelBachelor's Degree Travel PercentageUp to 25% Job CategoryLearning and Development The Learning & Development Supervisor leads the functional oversight of the Team Leaders of Learning who are responsible for the development, organization and execution of training strategies that drive employee performance and operational business results. The Learning & Development Supervisor serves as the strategic partner and leader of adult learning, employee performance and operational effectiveness with executives and L&D leaders to provide thought leadership and organizational/business alignment for program design, development and learning evaluation. This leader is responsible for modeling Paycom values, maintaining an enterprise view and supporting the pace of the business and needs of our employees using creative talent-centric solutions. This leader hires, develops, leads and coaches Team Leaders of Learning. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as a strategic leader to the team leaders of learning by being active in the daily operations of their business operations with a strong and continuous advocacy of the learning and development department strategies, initiatives and performance requirements for the learning partner teams.
  • Actively drives the Learning & Development mission statement through supporting, coaching and directing Team Leaders of Learning to produce quality training programs and achieve position metrics and standards for themselves and their learning partners.
  • Holds Learning Partner Teams accountable for the development of training, learning activities, and supporting documentation consistent with instructional design standards, current learning science, adult learning theory and knowledge of the targeted audience to ensure effective knowledge transfer, retention, and skill proficiency of employees.
  • Addresses, conveys and implements change management best practices to internal and external stakeholders to ensure a world-class training experience is provided by learning partner teams.
  • Builds trust and rapport across with peers enterprise-wide through effective communication, strategic alignment, training, and feedback loops.
  • Aligns with other Learning & Development Supervisors and Senior Manager of Learning & Development on best practices to deliver a world-class training experience and positive working team environment
  • Responsible for establishing, measuring and coaching Team Leaders of Learning to meet their performance expectations.
  • Analyze training program metrics to ensure the effectiveness of training programs and identify opportunities to improve based on adult learning theory, technologies and innovation.
  • Owns capacity requirements and identifies staffing needs and creates a positive and engaging work environment to support career development for all Learning Partners and their leaders.
  • Continuously monitors performance, diagnoses specific skills, and matches leadership style to support growth for Team Leader of Learning. Education/Certification:
  • Bachelors degree, preferably in Business, Communication, Education, Human Resources, or similar field is required Experience:
  • 6 years of experience in role related to learning, training or human resources
  • 4 years of leadership experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification:
  • Professional certification, such as SHRM-CP, PHR, CPTM or CPLP is preferred Skills/Abilities:
  • Highly developed executive presence with proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
  • Observe, coach and motivate Team Leaders of Learning to successfully develop and deliver world-class training solutions using instructional design, adult learning principles, program design and training technologies
  • Act as a brand ambassador by modeling Paycom values and Learning and Development mission in every interaction with clients, colleagues, and the general public
  • Proven ability to lead in a matrixed environment of cross-functional teams while demonstrating servant leadership and influence
  • Proven ability to manage multiple people and programs with aggressive deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze training program data and evaluate objectively and coach learning partners on their instructional design, facilitation skills and learning environment
  • Demonstrated forward-thinking, strategic thinking approach
  • Proven ability to effectively and professionally communicate in visual, verbal and written form
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change quickly personally and as a leader
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, be willing to work flexible hours including evening and weekend, travel to events
