Job Description:
Job DescriptionJob Summary: Provide technical guidance as a
liaison between internal customers and Information Services in
activities associated with research, resolution, and follow-up to
problems reported in person, by email, IM, or telephone by
performing the following duties: Maintain the Firm's Information
Services Inventory
- Change of information services equipment or supplies
- Accurate record keeping of all information services
equipment
- Acquisition of equipment and tracking of equipment for
disposal
- Track support requests from end users
- Distribute equipment to employees as needed Desktop
Management/Helpdesk Support
- Provide end user desktop support for various software and
hardware to include:
- Microsoft Office
- Standard productivity applications
- Line of business applications
- Adobe
- Antivirus software
- Research, resolve and follow-up for each routine user problem,
referring more complex issues to supervisor or external
contact
- Install and test new hardware and software
- Monitor the operation of computer hardware and software and
configure to meet departmental needs
- Provide technical support for end users by the completing the
following:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network
printers/multifunction/copiers
- Configure network scanning/SMB/user set-up on copiers and scan
stations
- Administer new user orientation on an as needed basis
- Maintain updated new user orientation materials
- Continuously review process management for refinement and
quality improvement
- Be familiar with conference room Skype equipment, and, as
requested, provide conference room support for Skype conferences.
Data Protection and Security
- Provide workstation encryption to end users
- Workstation and server antivirus protection to end users
- Process Windows Security Update Server by deploying security
updates to workstations Network/Account Management
- Works with other IT team members regarding new branch builds
and upgrades
- Regularly perform housekeeping duties to keep Active Directory
clear of stale, unused, expired, and objects no longer needed
- Create new computer accounts and join to directory
servicesConfigure, Maintain and Monitor the Firm's Email Systems
- Add and administer changes to the exchange global address book
and all distribution lists
- Configure and troubleshoot mobile device connectivity and
mobile policy management.
- Administer the Firm's Spam/Virus Blocker software
- Review the Spam white and black lists as needed
- Review and administer Spam or virus quarantined emails for
release or destruction Assist with administration and maintenance
of the Firm's VoIP phone and voicemail system Assist with
department and firm projects as needed Assist with annual
technology budgeting process as needed Assist with training and
mentoring of newer team members As part of the IT team, assist with
other projects or duties as assigned within IT. Minimal travel
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent.
- Microsoft Server 2012/2016 administration experience
required
- WIndows 7 and 10, and Office 2016, and Office 365 experience
required
- Previous experience in a computer support environment.
Accounting technical support experience preferred; not
required.
- A+, networking and/or Microsoft certifications preferred, not
required
- Experience supporting mobile end users preferred
- Experience preferred, but not required, with CCH Tax, CaseWare,
MAS90, QuickBooks, Creative Solutions PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While
performing the duties of this job the employee will regularly be
required to sit, stand, reach, walk, drive, kneel, crouch, crawl
and lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
