Position Summary:-- --- - Knowledge and skill set involving MSS, Chemical Control, AIB, GMPs, HACCP, FDA, OHSA, other food process hygiene requirements. Must clearly understand, constantly enforce, coach, train, encourage and reiterate the principles of Human/Food safety, Quality, Sanitation related Procedure/Policy.-- -Supervises and coordinates activities of associates engaged in duties concerned with Sanitation program, Chemical Program and Pest Control Program in food processing establishment by performing the following duties.Key Job Responsibilities:Ensures Safety rules are followed as it relates to Personal protective equipment (PPE), GMP, Working Behaviors. Follow all Company Health and Safety Policy guidelines and Company Food Safety Policy guidelines and ensure all team members are following Policies.-- --- -Interprets Regulatory and Company Policies to Bakery Associates and Enforces Human Safety, Food Safety and Quality requirement.Supervises 6 Sanitation Leads on both Shifts (each one lead 1-3 Sanitors in each group). A total of 20 Sanitation Associates in the Sanitation Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Sanitation Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; driving improvements; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards.Inspects and identifies premises for unsanitary practices and conditions.Directs, Assigns and Verifies Sanitation Cleaning Tasks of equipment and work areas.Monitors Sanitation Associates Attendance, Vacations, PTO, and Sick Day request.Monitor and direct Sanitation Associates Hygienic GMP, Cleaning Procedure handling, Chemical Handling and Pest Control.Optimizes Sanitation Standard Operation Procedures to meet improve Effectiveness and Efficiency.Studies/Analysis Operations, Sanitation and Maintenance schedules in order to optimize Sanitation working hours to complete of job assignment.Develops and Trains Sanitation Associates to follow Sanitation Cleaning Structures and Procedures.Ensure Sanitation related areas clean and organized. Properly maintain and secure equipment ensure team members have equipment needed to perform tasks. Work directly with Sanitation Leads and Sanitors to correct cleaning deficiencies that may exist after inspection. Communicate and work with Operations to insure that Shutdown and line release to sanitation meets the standards set.Responsible for establishing priorities and work independently without direct Management. Plan Sanitation work schedules and team assignments that insures the business needs are met or exceeded.Responsible for ensuring on-time starts by providing hygienic environment so food can be produced in accordance to Company food safety policy guidelines.Supervises/Directs Sanitation Related Contractors (Janitorial Services, Cleaning Contractors, etc.)Compiles Required Document regarding Regulatory Inspections, SQF Audit, Sanitation Violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies.Documents and Maintains Sanitation Related Records.Verifies and Analysis All Cleaning Performances in each department. Identifies Operations, Sanitation, Distribution and Maintenance Cleaning Performance Opportunities. Drives Improvements of Departments.Confers with Management on Sanitation, Operations and Maintenance opportunities. Recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of product.Monitor and assists to direct other Department Associates in Hygienic GMP, Equipment Sanitary Designing, Equipment/Area housekeeping, Chemical Handling, and Pest Control.Analyzes and resolves work opportunities, and assists other managements in solving work problems.Initiates or suggests Bakery to motivate Associates to achieve work goals.Confers with other supervisors and managers to coordinate activities of individual departments.*This position will necessitate performing duties and tasks that are not outlined herein. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.Prefer three years Sanitation Experience or five years of Food Industry Experience and one-year minimum of supervisory experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, cleaning and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to groups of Associates of organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Excellent Communications Skills, Supervising Skills, Organization Skills, Team Player, Hardworking, Dependable, Safety Conscious and Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred.
