Job Description:

The L&D Corporate Learning Partner is responsible for driving employee performance and business results through collaborative discovery, design, development, and implementation of tailored learning solutions. Working directly with business unit leaders, the Corporate Learning Partner will work to find and lead efficiencies in the new hire programs and continued education for their assigned department; all to drive measurable results for the business unit. The role requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment to work with senior leaders, project stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand learning requirements, translate those requirements into deliverable and effective learning experiences, and to deliver instruction, coaching, and strategic support to drive business improvement through learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the business objectives of the assigned business unit by working with leaders to understand current performance metrics, target goals and outcomes, business imperatives, and serve as a strategic partner to develop learning strategies to support business improvement.
  • Utilize adult learning principles to design learning programs and ensure effective knowledge transfer, retention, and skill proficiency in areas of critical performance; design and implement measures to test effectiveness, ensure continual improvement, and monitor for opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and conduct thorough, data-driven, and actionable needs assessments to determine appropriate learning methodology to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Create and deploy training materials, in support of the appropriate learning methodology, such as business process guides, learning courses, and leader performance support resources in a variety of appropriate media.
  • Facilitate instructional presentations, with clear and concise communication.
  • Maintain a continuous understanding of the primary employee functions, and objectives of the roles, within the business.
  • Model role-specific skills at a high-level of proficiency both in the classroom and during live, on-the-job coaching sessions.
  • Using expert level knowledge of the business unit to coach employees directly to accelerate their development and drive increased business results.
  • Design analysis of, aggregate, and present performance results to employees direct leaders; using this carefully designed performance result, collaborate with business unit leaders on appropriate next steps for development and improved performance to increase performance.
  • Execute Learning & Development training programs through a variety of mediums including, but not limited to, PowerPoint, Paycoms Learning Management System, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
  • Partner with members of L&D and other SMEs within the departments for content creation and maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification: 

  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Business, Communication, or Education strongly preferred

Experience Required: 

  • 2 years of experience in a role related to learning, training or HR, or a role directly related to assigned department required, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
