Health and Wellness Coordinator

Job Description:

This position supports HR leadership in administering operational tasks, duties and responsibilities related to employee health and wellness. This position will also provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support on employee services related issues and needs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate health and wellness programs and initiatives
  • Accurately maintain records of health and wellness
  • Facilitate immunization and vaccination clinics
  • Respond to employee and leadership inquiries through various methods; such as email, phone and instant messenger
  • Assist in the menu planning for the daily catered meals
  • Monitor the fitness center to ensure proper use of the equipment and services
  • Assist in the facilitation and coordination of fitness center activities
  • Facilitate administrative work and additional operational tasks as needed

MINIMUM BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in sports medicine, nutrition and dietetics, health and physical education, hospitality, business administration, or other related field

Experience:

  • 1 year of customer service or health and wellness experience

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • 2+ years of customer service, health and wellness/fitness, nutritional/food services or other related experience

Skills/Abilities:       

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and consult effectively one-on-one
  • Ability to effectively partner and collaborate with all levels of personnel
  • Strong customer service skills; employee friendly attitude
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to follow directions and adhere to all HR and company safety policies and enforce compliance
  • Possess knowledge of general health and wellness guidelines (such as Occupational Safety and Health guidelines)
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in unusual or emergency situations following policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to efficiently use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
