Job Description:

An HCM Liaison calls on existing Paycom customers to gauge interest in HCM products. They would be expected to call prospects, set initial meetings with key decision makers (C-suite), and present a detailed and compelling business case for adopting Paycoms HCM products. This position requires strong phone communication, needs analysis skill, presentation prep, and strategic closing approaches. Previous sales experience is not required, but a confident professional communication style, hard work and drive separate the best from the rest. Increasing customer adoption rate of Paycoms HCM products is the primary objective of this position. The HCM Liaison works closely with the Paycom Sales Rep and/or the Paycom CRR to leverage the products to the client while maintaining a sales-oriented focus. The HCM Liaison must have the business acumen to communicate with CFOs and CEOs, as well as with individual users of the Paycom systems.

 

Performance Objectives:

The following are the performance objectives for this position. In assessing competency and fit, all candidates will be benchmarked against these standards.

  • Strong HCM Liaisons are expected to conduct a minimum of (10-15) phone meetings each week with clients through disciplined phone canvasing, 50% of which includes a C-level executive or the endorsement of a C-level executive. Carefully prepare an agenda, review corporate structure, identify needs and opportunities, and provide information and insight that helps clients identify the value of HCM product solutions.
  • Manages both time and scheduling efficiently: Liaison must prioritize high profile and high potential accounts by size, volume and potential. They prepare for and plan account meetings that maximize value driven relationships with target clients and leverage all Paycom resources available to support key accounts. They maintain relationships at the c-level and throughout the organization in support of providing business solutions
  • Become an HCM Product Expert and Trusted Advisor. Liaisons are actively engaged in self-learning and self-improvement in their technical, industry, sales and process knowledge. The more technical, insight, and knowledge the Liaison gains, the better able they are to build credibility with clients, answer questions on the spot and identify opportunities for client's potential needs.
  • Follow-up after each customer meeting. Liaisons communicate with all client contacts and Paycom support personnel after each meeting taking full responsibility to ensure that all the clients needs are addressed quickly and accurately. Email and voice messages are clear and actionable.
  • Strong HCM Liaisons at Paycom are expected to close 5-10 new clients every month with an average annual revenue roll call of $3,750 per client.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Anticipate company needs and process improvements. Analyze market research of the industry. Research what our competitors in the industry are doing, how they market, where they rank with our carriers and profits. Communicate with management on findings and share ideas on what needs to be implemented to successfully rank in the industry.
  • Ensure internal teams understanding of best practices by leading communication through trainings, documents, and emails. Be the resource and gain employee confidence of process changes. Set proper expectations and best-practice standards and communicate effectively with all internal parties. Work closely with corporate trainer, team leads and management as needed.
  • Successfully conduct onsite visits and conference calls. Market our company by extending an invitation for carriers to visit our facility, learn about our company vision, products and roles and responsibilities. Share our expectations for a successful file feed implementation and ways we can better our processes. Conference calls consist of open discussion of ongoing issues, ideas for improvement and file accuracy along with promotion of our preferred vendor program.
  • Be the project manager and driver. Manage projects proactively by anticipating potential needs and communicating possible solutions in a positive and professional manner. Create best practice methods and communicate with internal parties to ensure consistency is achieved. Analyze results monthly/quarterly/yearly and adjust as needed.
  • Manage time, priorities, schedule, and resources efficiently. Prepare and execute a yearly roadmap according to quarterly task needs and project demands. Self-motivate to continuously improve time and account management skills, system knowledge and tactical research abilities.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience required.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills: telephone, oral and written
  • Online meeting presentation experience is a plus
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision
  • Conducting needs assessments for clients
  • A passion for helping others and providing exceptional support every day.
  • Professional communication through phone, email, and in person. Listening and providing empathy is crucial.
  • Computer skills in Windows and MS office and the ability to easily learn new applications.
  • Interest in gaining knowledge on payroll tax and human resource related topics.
  • Traits required to succeed in this role: detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, project/deadline driven.
  • Remains calm no matter how stressful the situation. You must perform at your best under pressure.
  • Strong problem solver with analytical aptitude.
  • Team player who initiates solutions to help the team meet performance goals.
  • Willingness to work overtime and additional hours outside normal shift. Working some weekends will be required to meet team and department goals.
