Please ensure the email provided on your application is checked regularly.**Overview:Under the supervision of the CT Supervisor and the Radiologist, performs CT examinations. Perform CT examinations utilizing established protocols of technical factors, patient positioning, and computer manipulation. The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy. The CT Tech should have a personable demeanor and a strong understanding of anatomy and computerized tomography. The CT Technologist will prepare patients for procedures by providing clear instructions and answering questions to reduce anxiety. The CT Technologist is responsible for providing and applying principles of radiation protection during exams, patient services, and continuous quality improvement. Qualifications:* Experience:--New CT graduates welcome * Required Education: Minimum 2 year AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology, associate or baccalaureate degree. * Preferred Experience: Two (2) years experience preferred.* Licensure: CT registered or registry eligible* Certifications: Certification with ARRT. CPR Certified.* Other: Good oral and written communication skills. Eighteen (18) months experience required. The CT Tech are often on their feet for long periods of time and must also move heavy equipment. May utilize basic algebraic concepts to their procedures. Will practice aseptic cleaning techniques to prevent bacterial contamination of radiology equipment during exams. Effective and regular communication with staff, physicians, and patients both verbally and in writing.
