SHIFT: TUESDAY/THURSDAY/FRIDAY AND EVERY OTHER MONDAY - 6:30AM -
Under limited supervision, performs advanced, complex fluoroscopic
procedures and is recognized as an expert in his/her field.
Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position.
Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an

* Performs advanced, complex fluoroscopy and operates diagnostic
imaging equipment to produce contrast radiographs to aid physician
in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
* Provides the technical assistance for fluoroscopy, the amount and
quality of radiation beam, filming sequence, etc.
* May assist physician with such procedures as vascular procedures,
trauma, complex orthopedic and neuro procedures, injecting contrast
* Trouble shoots and resolves problems regarding equipment.
* Provides education and training to other staff to advance skill
levels and acts as a preceptor for other radiographers and/or
* Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program;
EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months as a radiographer; and Six (6) months of
experience in advance fluoroscopic environment and skilled in
multiple specialty areas of advanced fluoroscopy.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: Registered as a
Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technology
(ARRT). Current certification in Basic Life Support required upon
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of radiology procedures,
equipment, surface and visceral anatomy, medical terminology as it
relates to radiological work, and radiation safety procedures and
measures. Knowledge of fluoroscopy operations, including tilt,
angle, cine, etc. Must be able to appropriately maneuver within
sterile field. Must be able to work under pressure and in emergency
situations. Good interpersonal skills.
