Job Description:

Oklahoma City Electromagnetic Effects Group is seeking Senior Antenna & Propagation Engineer. The candidate will mentor, coach, and lead lesser experienced engineers providing knowledge transfer to aid in growing our next generation of engineers.

The candidate will provide engineering and technical decisions for Boeing Military Aircraft, Military Derivative Aircraft and other diverse projects. This position supports the qualification of various complex communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components. The position will also support the qualification of products being developed throughout Boeing. This position is for a senior Electrical Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. Directs activities in the discipline and represents the organization at external events. Evaluates operating systems, provides technical training, designs electronic components, and develops implementation schedules.

Assignments may deal with

Direct activities in the discipline and represent the organization at external events

Evaluate operating systems, provide technical training, design electronic components, and develop implementation schedules

Review supplier and partner qualification data

HIRF/Lightning analysis and test

RF Co-Site analysis

Antenna Coupling analysis

Test Automation for aircraft modifications

Other job responsibilities will include

Apply extensive job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts

Support programs to generate bids, work on requirements allocation (upon program award) and support the programs through System Development and Demonstration (SDD) phase of the program

Provide technical solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and creativity

Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment

Guide the successful completion of aspects of major programs and may function in a project leadership role

Represent the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects

Interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations

Have a collaborative personality and be responsive to customers needs and also be amenable to working with multiple customers with varying personalities on a day-to- day basis

Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time as required

Must have understanding and be able to apply: conversion factors, correction factors, antenna factors, and other EMI/EMC techniques

Operate and learn system under test and master the systems that are being tested during the course of testing

Develop architectures to integrate systems and components into higher level systems and platforms

Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements

Define and conduct tests to validate performance of designs to requirements

Manage appropriate aspects of supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements

Provide support to products throughout their lifecycle by developing root-cause analysis of anomalies and other engineering support as requested

Support project management by providing work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and by reporting project status

Write appropriate sections of proposals to support development of new business

Works under minimal mentorship

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Must currently possess a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistr y.

Knowledge of antenna, radome, anechoic materials, and dielectric materials design

Ability to interpret and apply requirements (such as coverage, frequency, gain, and polarization)

Ability to apply knowledge of engineering and scientific methods and tools to optimize and achieve a total system solution (internal and external) with the appropriate antenna type and taking into account environmental effects such as electromagnetic pulse, lightning, and space, platform and system to system radio frequency interaction with the antenna/radome

Ability to optimize system and component design through a variety of methods, such as trade studies, in order to meet design goals (such as safety, producibility, and maintainability) by implementing alternative system approaches, architectures, and system-level attributes, while ensuring that antenna and radome requirements are achieved

Ability to apply electromagnetic theory to develop new antenna and radome types and technologies

Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time as required

This position requires that you work out of Oklahoma City, OK

Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills

Must have demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with a history of meeting commitments

Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events

The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Active U.S. Security Clearance

Knowledge of digital signal processing

Experience with CST Studio Suite

Experience with ANSYS EMIT

Experience with FEKO

Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry

Previous experience in Antenna, Propagation, and Electromagnetic Effects

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years'' related work experience, Master+7 years'' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
