Our Westwood, MA office is seeking an electrical engineer who
will design electrical projects, with the goal of managing
projects. The person will take a lead role in growing an electrical
team by strategically identifying new opportunities with existing
and future clients and participating in the client project
The ideal candidate will have the following:
7-15 years’ experience in electrical distribution and lighting
design in the area of transportation projects, tunneling,
SCADA, airports, roadway lighting, building systems and electrical
Ability to self-start and work independently.
Project Management and the management of project budgets,
schedules, quality of deliverables
Development of new clients and maintenance of existing client
Prepare private as well as government and local municipal “RFP”
relating to electrical engineering services
Mentoring of junior staff
Design experience in calculations involving voltage drop,
ampacity adjustment, lighting systems, load flow.
Ability to work with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Office, AGI-32 and
other engineering software or the ability to learn.
Electrical analysis experience in performing electrical load
flow, breaker coordination, short circuit, and arc flash
calculations using SKM Power Tools Design experience related to
emergency generator sizing and load calculations.
Experience in performing electrical load studies and field
investigations to obtain required electrical data.
Be able to evaluate the condition of electrical equipment in the
field and make recommendations to customers related to required
Have a thorough understanding of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 130,
NFPA 502 and others.
Have experience in in the use of IESNA standards associated with
Have experience in both interior and exterior lighting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability
to write engineering reports and specifications
Have the ability to make formal and informal presentations to
customers and potential customers
Design experience in both underground and overhead low voltage
and medium voltage distribution.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from four-year
college or university or equivalent required.
Professional Engineering (PE) License is preferred or the
ability to obtain a PE within a year required.
