If so, our Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to join our growing team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. You will become part of Northrop Grumman's Sustaining Engineering & Solutions (SE&S) team. SE&S provides sustainment support for the US Air Force B-2 Bomber, E-3 Sentry, Airborne Warning and Control System, and numerous other Government platforms. Our team members complete engineering, reverse engineering and logistics solution efforts to solve complex obsolescence problems and ensure warfighter supportability. You will lead efforts on E-3 Mission Systems within an Integrated Product Team (IPT), to include technical planning, requirements development and tracking, system integration, systems integrations lab (SIL), ground and flight testing, verification and validation, airworthiness, system safety, risk, reliability / maintainability, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, requirements, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. You will lead project teams and be responsible for cost, schedule and performance Responsibilities:--- Direct supervision/management of the staff--- Create project plans, including project schedules and budgets--- Oversee and manage project execution to the plan --- Integrate requirements vertically and horizontally across the project to ensure successful execution--- Brief Northrop Grumman management and Air Force customers on project status--- Identify and mitigate risks--- Communicate staffing and lab needs to ensure projects are adequately resourced--- Work with multiple engineering teams and cross-functional departments--- Lead proposal activities for new projects --- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems--- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal--- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.--- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications To learn more about our hiring process for manager positions, please view our Selecting the Best Qualified Managers video: www.northropgrumman.com/SQMVideo Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:1. A Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 6 years of System Engineering experience or a Master's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 4 years of System Engineering experience2. Demonstrated expertise in system engineering processes and products throughout much of the program life cycle, and providing technical leadership and guidance3. Understanding of the Integrated Management Framework (IMF) process and concepts4. Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance5. Ability to obtain/maintain access to work on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma6. Strong customer engagement skills7. Aircraft Modernization and Sustainment experience Preferred Qualifications:1. Experience on 707 commercial-derivative aircraft, to include experience with the E-3 AWACS 40/45 enterprise, IPEC, and SIC systems 2. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification3. General understanding of NGTS Engineering processes4. Proven performance as a Systems Engineering Leader in many of the phases of acquisition, design, integration, and execution. Candidate will require ability to rapidly assess and lend guidance to projects assigned to the organizational group as well as demonstrated mentoring and guidance to engineers5. Ability to assess program health and performance based on alignment of governing products and delivery schedules: SEMP, CLIN, IMP, WBS, IMS, manufacturing and sustainment plans6. Understanding of the application and development of functional and physical architectures, interfaces, requirements analysis, functional decomposition, design synthesis, integration, verification, and validation in large systems using SysML/UML and requirements management tools such as Rhapsody, and DOORS7. Experience working on DoD related projects 8. Experience presenting project performance to upper management and customers 9. Risk Management experience 10. Experience with aircraft systems to include avionics, radar, communications, mission computing systems, global positioning systems, threat warning systems, navigation, structures, flight controls, offensive and/or defensive systems11. Experience with obtaining flight and aircraft certifications12.
