Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Test Conductor - Lab Cognizant Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be responsible to ensure engineering tests serve mission objectives and mechanisms are in place to execute the tests. Responsible for testing all customer samples. Oversees the operational aspects of engineering tests and serves as liaison to program, engineering and line management. Reviews status of test requirements, manages schedules and prepares reports. Selects and supervises technicians during test. Assesses anomalies and develops resolutions to documented procedures in conjunction with Test and Quality Engineering. This position will be located at Tinker AFB, and will require spending a short term assignment for the first 4 months in Melbourne, Florida, learning all facets of the job in an operational environment, followed by returning to Tinker Air Force Base to begin work at that location. Specific Duties include: Involved in lab operations including, but not limited to, laboratory design, test planning, scheduling, and execution and reporting. Ensure test stations and assets are configured and ready to test by deploying software and configuring hardware on the test stations. Work closely with QA to maintain and validate test station software and hardware. Perform TRR, ATP for test stations and integration events. Brief management of progress and status of the all the labs. Manage daily lab operations and activities to be in compliance with policies and procedures from Northrop Grumman Corporation and SIT&E. Basic Qualifications: Familiarity with avionics systems, aircraft electrical systems, or Test Station Operations.Bachelor degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)discipline and9+ Yearsprior experience, OR Master'sdegree in STEM discipline with 7+ years of experienceThe ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD Secret or Top Secret level prior to commencement of employment and ability to maintain said clearance for continued employment.Ability to obtain Special Program Access prior to commencement of employment and maintain said clearance for continued employmentPreferred Qualifications: Current Special Program AccessFamiliar using scheduling tools, such as MS Project.Familiar with Linux and Windows Operating Systems.Must be capable to read and comprehend schematic diagrams.Must have familiarity with Test Equipment, such as digital multimeters, O-scopes, power supplies etc.Must have familiarity with Electronic Principles, MIL STD protocol for 1553, 429, and 1394 busses Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
