Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Safety Coordinator role in Ponca City, OK. Key Responsibilities: · Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards. · Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions. · Lead safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and onboarding safety orientations for new employees. · Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries; prepare reports and support corrective action follow-through. · Maintain safety documentation, including logs, permits, training records, and compliance reports. · Collaborate with supervisors and team members to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. · Ensure the proper use of PPE and monitor adherence to safety protocols throughout the facility. · Support emergency response planning, drills, and readiness activities. · Assist with developing and revising safety policies, procedures, and job hazard analyses. · Promptly report any safety concerns, violations, or equipment hazards to leadership. Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent; additional safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR) preferred. · Prior experience in safety, manufacturing, or industrial environments is highly desirable. · Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and general workplace safety practices. · Excellent communication, documentation, and training skills. · Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve safety concerns proactively. · Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. · Flexibility to work varying schedules, including occasional nights or weekends, as required.
