Purpose:

Essential Job Functions:


  • Promote safety in all actions
  • Provides leadership and direction for all legal affairs
  • Exemplifies the mission, vision, and values of the organization through thoughts and actions and serves as a consummate representative of the organization to internal and external communities
  • Continuously evaluates and improves the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization to ensure it achieves its mission
  • Oversees contract negotiations on client and vendor agreements
  • Provide leadership and risk management guidance on regulatory and legislative matters and statutory changes with potential impact on the organization
  • Represent the Company before federal, state, or local government agencies and respond to inquiries. Serve as corporate representative in legal proceedings
  • Create, implement, and audit compliance with contractual obligations as they relate to Company policy
  • Oversees and is accountable for Legal Services annual budget
  • Develop and lead the Companys legal strategy to facilitate operations in mergers and acquisitions in support of growth initiatives
  • Identify and manage outside legal counsel as appropriate
  • Oversee corporate compliance, pending litigation, pre-litigation dispute resolution, business registrations and licenses
  • Work alongside the Executive team on strategies to optimize results
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the CEO

    • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook & Publisher)
    • Able and willing to continue professional development
      Minimum Qualifications for Consideration:

      • Law degree and admission to practice law
      • Seven to ten years of legal experience

        Physical Requirements:

        • Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual activity.
        • Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds).

          Working Conditions:

          • Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners.
          • Required to travel 25% or more.
