Job Description:

The Sr Attorney [Human Resources Support] works collaboratively across the legal department to ensure all internal Human Resources clients are receiving the necessary amount of legal support.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Has strong understanding of and keeps the company updated on existing labor and employment laws and relevant regulatory laws.
  • Serves as a point of contact for Human Resources and Talent Acquisition and provides practical day to day counsel as well as strategic advice to leaders across the organization.
  • Establishes strong working relationships, credibility and trust with clients, legal team members and other colleagues.
  • May select and work with external counsel to assist in legal review and litigation management when needed.
  • Influences decisions by providing proactive, high quality, timely and cost-effective legal guidance.
  • Manages other projects as assigned.Education/Certification:
    • Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited university
    • Licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and a member in good standing of the Oklahoma BarExperience:
      • 3 years of substantive legal experience providing advice and counsel related to a wide range of human resources, talent acquisition, and employment law topics.
      • Demonstrated proficiency in working in a technologically-centered workplace with a high degree of computer proficiency.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Certification:
        • SHRM-SCP, SPHR desiredExperience:
          • Experience working with a public company or a mid to large-sized law firm,
          • Labor and employment litigation experience,
          • Experience conducting workplace investigations,
          • Experience working with HR professionals, including business partners, generalists, recruiters, and HR compliance professionals,
          • Proven experience identifying and executing projects to increase compliance and drive risk mitigation across an enterpriseSkills/Abilities:
            • Excellent organizational skills.
            • Ability to manage multiple projects autonomously in a challenging, fast-paced environment while consistently meeting time sensitive deadlines.
            • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
            • Ability to tailor messages and speak to various key stakeholders across the organization in a clear and concise manner.
            • Strong legal and researching skills.
