Administrator should possess the skills necessary to support the
activities related to the installation, implementation,
administration, maintenance, security, and documentation of
infrastructure server systems, storage systems and enterprise
infrastructure applications in accordance with established
procedures and policies.Reporting to the Data Center & System
Supervisor, the System Administrator is responsible for
establishing and maintaining the computer systems that support the
court functions.Typical FunctionsResponsibilities and functions
will include (but not be limited to) the following: - Plans,
implements and documents data center systems, including servers,
storage systems, operating systems and software applications for
main and disaster recovery site - Installs and maintains
infrastructure server hardware, including rack-mount and blade
system server hardware - Installs and maintains infrastructure
storage hardware, including enterprise-class and modular disk-based
storage systems - Installs and maintains infrastructure storage
network environment, including cable plant, SAN fabric switches,
and HBA's - Maintains highly-available Microsoft (MS) Exchange
Online corporate email structure - Deploys and maintains
highly-available Microsoft 365 SharePoint environment according to
MS best practices and user requirements - Installs MS Active
Directory systems, including domain controller infrastructure,
computer and group objects, , replication and schema - Provides
primary or secondary support, as assigned, for infrastructure and
end-user applications served from the data center - Installs new
software and Operating System releases, patches and updates for
Data Center systems - In conjunction with networking team,
responsible for the data center cabling plant, both copper and
fiber for Data Center systems - Monitors data center environment,
system performance, and capacity - Manages system backups and
restores - Collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve
organizational goals. - Maintains cloud interfaces and environments
such as M365, Azure, etc. - Implements and performs system
automation functions - Perform tasks for application releases -
Participates and utilizes organization's change management process
- Manages and maintains VMWare infrastructure and environments
including ESXi, vCenter, vRealize Operations Manager and Site
Recovery Manager - Supports data center operations tasks based on
availability of Data Center Operations Lead - Maintains and updates
system documentation. Performs other duties as requireLevel
DescriptorEducation and ExperienceEducation and Experience
requirements at this level consist of completion of twenty-four
semester hours of computer science or management information
systems and five years of professional data processing experience,
including 2 years in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting
one additional year of qualifying experience for 12 semester hours
only of the required course work. Note: No substitution will be
permitted for at least 12 semester hours of computer science or
management information systems.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and
Competencies - At least four (4) years of work experience in system
administration - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information
Systems or related technical field preferred - Equivalent related
work experience may be substituted for education requirement -
Current MCSA/MCSE/MCTS/MCITP preferredSpecial RequirementsSome
positions may require that employees be willing and able to fulfill
all job-related travel normally associated with the
