Description Qualifications:Services (BGS) Product Support
organization is seeking Technical Publishers to support the
Technical Publications team. The Technical Publishers will fulfill
and track author's publishing requests through XML Publishing
Program (XPP) using the latest standards, technologies, and
customer requirements to create technical manual publications.
Monitor the quality of manuals and verify customer requirements for
published products. Maintain accurate pre-publish change levels and
cycle publish dates. The successful candidates will be expected to
cleanup and archive post-publish files in both XML Publishing
Program (XPP) and Arbortext Content Manager (ACM) systems as well
as help authors with the correct tagging in their SGML/XML
(Standard Generalized Markup Language/Extensible Markup Language)
to ensure a good quality publish results. Position is located in
Oklahoma City, OK.This position allows telecommuting. The selected
candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of
the listed location options.Position Responsibilities:Assists in
the design, development and monitoring of quality processes and
software tools that implement specification, style and format of
technical publications.Plans, schedules and delivers Electronic
Technical Manuals/Interactive Electronic Technical Manual
(ETM/IETM) deliverables using established standards and the latest
industry technologies.Estimates the impact of proposals based on
customer specifications and requirements.Coordinates the data
development cycle with Software Engineering/ Information Technology
(IT) deployments and other technical data personnel. Ensures
quality of technical manual deliverables.Works under general
direction.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.
Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S.
Citizenship.An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance
Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required
Skill/Experience): Less than 1 year of experience with Arbortext
Epic EditorLess than 1 year of experience working with digital data
and web technologies (SGML, XML, etc.) and developing schemas and
document type definitionsPreferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience): 3 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of education and experienceAdobe
AcrobatMicrosoft OfficeContentaTypical Education/Experience:
Experienced (Level 2)AA degree in related discipline and typically
1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination
of education and experience.Experienced (Level 3)Technical
bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work
experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or
a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and
experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree,
or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology
field of study.This position offers relocation based on candidate
