Our core values of integrity, excellence, teamwork and agility drive our daily decisions, identify our focus areas, and inspire our organizational culture.GENERAL DESCRIPTIONA C2ISR Software Engineer (SE) is responsible for assisting with and providing technical support to the software engineering team for design, development, and modifications to corporate software applications related to the C2ISR systems including Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS), Airborne Surveillance Command and Control (ASC2), and/or Theater Air Control System (TACS) training and ground systems and networks. The SE is expected to generate concise feature requirement specifications and design documents in support of internal and external customers. Additionally, the SE is expected to track development timelines, assist with the design phase, and negotiate feature sets with the product development leads as well as product managers. The SE is required to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned development goals in relation to the systems for which they are responsible. This position reports directly to the Systems Engineering Manager.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReviews, recommends, and assists with detailed software designs and implementation/maintenance of code according to duties and responsibilitiesRely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned projectsComply with all applicable product development processesPerform a variety of complicated engineering tasksGenerate detailed software design as well as implement and/or maintain code according to duties and responsibilitiesManage and adhere to schedules, deadlines and development goalsProvides PLEXSYS specific consultation with customers' external software engineering teamsOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSBachelor's in computer science or related field, Master's desirable2+ Years of Professional Object-Oriented Software Design and Implementation Experience or 1 Year of PLEXSYS Junior Software Engineer ExperienceDemonstrated organizational, leadership, decision-making and communications skillsDemonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologiesDemonstrated critical thinking skillsAbility to apply creativity and latitude in solutions is requiredAbility to periodically travel as business needs dictateKnowledge of modeling and simulation concepts and practices desirableAbility to obtain a US Security Clearance - SecretDESIRABLEExperience writing software using C++ and SCALAExperience working with modelling and simulation software products and conceptsMilitary experience in a Command and Control or Intelligence Reconnaissance and Surveillance career fieldAbility to setup, configure and troubleshoot a local area networkFamiliarity using JIRA, Confluence, Visual Studio, IntelliJ and PerforceFamiliarity with SISO and DMO StandardsExperience in Database ManagementPERKSAs a PLEXSYS employee, you can expect certain advantages; such as advancement based on performance, competitive wages, valuable benefits and a great working environment.
