Participates in evaluation and selection of vendors, contract negotiation and ongoing vendor relationship management for health and welfare plans, qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, equity compensation programs, fringe benefits, payroll, recruiting, training, professional consulting and actuarial services, software as a service, employment and/or other human resources policies, plans and programs. Reviews vendor contracts for standard requirements, coordinates with internal and external resources and exercises discretionary judgment as necessary to negotiate additional contractual assurances to protect the company and its employees.Essential Functions and Responsibilities Assists with creating, analyzing and negotiating human resources vendor contracts, including requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP), requests for quotes (RFQ) and contract renewals Work with appropriate human resources teams, legal and IT to ensure compliance and contract terms and conditions Participates in meeting with current and potential future vendors to build positive vendor partner relationships and identifying/recommending options for optimal results from vendor service lines. Participate in benefit review meetings Assists with annual evaluation of vendor performance Ensures compliance with regulatory mandates and legislation (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, IRS, DOL, HHS, and CMS) at all times Adherence to Record Information Management (RIM) schedules for maintaining, storage and deletion of contractual documents Monitors contract renewal and expiration dates and communicates with impacted departments, in a timely manner, for decision making on next stepsEducation Bachelor's Degree in human resource management, business administration, related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience Juris Doctorate degree preferred, but not required.Work Experience Experience with human resources plans, programs, policies and procedures Experience in use and function of office equipment applicable to position, including accessing computers and applicable software Experience and training related to: Benefit Plans Computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Public speaking/interpersonal communication skills Handling confidential information Problem resolution Exposure to developing, researching, and/or analyzing a variety of human resources plans and programs, industry surveys, budgets, policies, procedures and correspondence Understanding of policies and procedures, governmental regulations and guidelines, actuarial evaluations, legal opinions, contracts and other human resources related documents Previous involvement interacting, negotiating, advising and communicating effectively Experience developing information, conducting meetings and making presentations Experience in negotiating complex service agreements, with a working knowledge of Internet Protocol and Data security laws and prevailing market practices preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of: math and basic statistics Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentationsLicenses and Certifications None requiredStrength Factor Rating - Physical Demands/Requirements Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
