Job Description Job Description EXPERIENCED CHEF Automation Personnel Services is looking for a several seasonal Experienced Chef for the daily railroad company based in Chattanooga, TN. This non-profit organization offers several daily trips exploring the Chattanooga area. This is a temporary job with several permanent opportunities. Pay Rate $17.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience Schedule and Hours Dining car- Friday and Saturday only 12:00pm- 10:00pm or 11:00pm (will be Thursday-Sunday in peak season) Tea Room- Thursday- Sunday 8:30am-3:30pm Experienced Chef Duties and Responsibilities Menu planning: Developing menus and daily specials Food preparation: Creating recipes, preparing and cooking dishes, and tasting dishes before they go to customers Kitchen management: Overseeing the kitchen staff, coordinating activities, and ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently Food safety: Maintaining food safety standards and ensuring compliance with health codes and regulations Inventory management: Managing food costs and inventory, and restocking food produce as needed Equipment and supply inspection: Inspecting supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality Training: Training and leading the kitchen staff Work environment: Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment Experienced Chef Qualifications and Requirements Culinary Expertise: Deep understanding of classic culinary techniques, diverse cuisines, and food pairing. Leadership Abilities: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills to effectively manage a large team. Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work under pressure. Food Safety Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and practices to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen.
