Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of recent L&D experience and an active OK or compact RN license. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit - Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am - Unit has 23 rooms and 25 beds with an average daily census of 10 - Floating is required within scope to other units and sister facilities within a 75-mile radius - Care for laboring women and support birthing processes in a busy unit - Must be willing to float to other facilities and units as needed - Orientation includes completion of required online modules, both clinical and non-clinical - No block scheduling requests will be accommodated - Time off requests (RTO) are limited to 5 days per 13-week contract, with no holiday RTO accepted - First-time travelers are welcome to apply Requirements - Active OK or compact RN license required at time of application - Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required - Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate - Must provide current and valid driver’s license or state-issued ID and a utility bill in the traveler's name with matching address within the last three months - Permanent residence must be more than 75 miles from the facility - No applicants with prior permanent employment at the facility within the past year will be considered - No active license or background issues allowed - Must provide two supervisory references for consideration Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-664355.
