Position Job Title: Radiographer II Profession: Radiographer
Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift:
12 hours Experience: Minimum of one year of full-time experience as
a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology
professional in the specialty required by the hiring department.
License: ARDMS, ARRT and/or CCI credentials in the cardiovascular
or radiologic technology specialty required by the hiring
department must be current upon hire or advancement.
Certifications: AHA BLS Must-Have: Level 1 trauma experience
Description: Under general supervision, performs advanced level
professional work in exposing and processing radiographic images
and fluoroscopy examinations. Circulates to other diagnostic
radiology areas as assigned by the supervisor. Recognized as an
expert in the field, or participates in training programs to
enhance knowledge and skills in other specialized radiology areas
or modalities. Operates standard and portable radiology equipment
to perform radiographic examinations and fluoroscopy studies.
Assists physicians and performs specialized imaging procedures.
Troubleshoots and resolves problems regarding equipment and/or film
output. Acts as a resource and preceptor for other Radiographers
and/or students. May participate in training programs to enhance
radiology skills and become proficient in producing images of a
patient's body in Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging,
or Special Procedures. Maintains records, inventory, and equipment
for the area of primary responsibility. Performs other duties as
assigned. Knowledge of the techniques of diagnostic radiography is
required. Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of
radiographic equipment is required. Ability to prioritize
assignments and assess, treat, and care for patients of varying
ages is essential. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to
communicate technical information in an understandable way are
necessary. Computer skills are also required. An associate's degree
