Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,296 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 14 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT Profession: Respiratory Care Practitioner Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 26-week contract Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 48 guaranteed Experience: Two years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred License: Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner Certifications: Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care Must-Have: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire Description: Under general supervision, this position provides services for the Respiratory Therapy Department in a timely and efficient manner for all appropriate age levels. Administers therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff. Records treatment information and patient treatment response in their computerized medical record. Acts as a resource person to medical staff. Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients. Provides age-appropriate care to patients. Ensures that respiratory equipment is cleaned and maintained. Maintains necessary respiratory therapy records. Performs as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge of procedures and techniques of Respiratory Therapy and the operation and repair of respiratory equipment is essential. Clinical decision-making skills appropriate to patient care as it relates to the pulmonary and cardiac system and the age of the patient are required. Ability to interpret appropriate information to identify patient needs is critical. Must be able to work under stress and possess good interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a good working relationship with coworkers and staff is necessary. Some computer skills are required.
