Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Medicine Specialty Job Details: • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions • Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required • Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required • Must demonstrate knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and procedures • Strong verbal and written communication skills required • Computer skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients Facility: This major academic medical center serves as the flagship healthcare facility for a leading university health system, providing comprehensive medical services and advanced specialty care.
