ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN CVU - Cardiovascular Unit for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVU - Cardiovascular Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Cardiovascular Job Details: • Work on a mixed cardiovascular floor with 24 beds - 12 step-down and 12 med-surg units • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Cardiac experience required with step-down/PCU experience • Must be familiar with chest tubes, drips, and half med-surg/half step-down procedures • Perform cardiac rehab and pre/post procedures as well as cardiac stabilizations • Interpret EKGs, monitor rhythms and rates • Collaborate with cardiac rehab, education, and discharge planning teams • Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge procedures • One year of nursing experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License required • Required certifications: Current Basic Life Support (AHA) and ACLS (American Heart Association) • Strong verbal and written communication skills required • Computer skills and ability to work in newer tower facility with monitors in rooms Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing specialized cardiovascular care in a state-of-the-art environment.
