Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - FS Job Details: • Step-down and Med-Surg experience required • 1 year of nursing experience required • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed • Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge instructions • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed • Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License (or multistate compact eNLC), Current BLS from American Heart Association • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred • Must demonstrate knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures • Strong organizational, planning, coordination, and evaluation skills required • Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients • Computer skills required Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced patient care.
