Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Provide nursing care to pediatric intensive care patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients under general supervision • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary • Administer prescribed medications and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and at discharge • Make referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed • 1 year of nursing experience required • ICU experience required • Level I trauma experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association required • PALS certification from American Heart Association required • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors • Basic computer skills required Facility: This pediatric healthcare facility specializes in providing comprehensive medical care to children and adolescents.
