Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work on 4W Surgical Transplant unit providing mixed stepdown and acute care • Care for post-surgical kidney, liver and pancreas transplant patients • Monitor pre-transplant patients being evaluated during their inpatient stay • Provide close monitoring for infection, rejection, and timely medication delivery • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with family and patients in sharing care plans during hospital stay and at discharge • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed • Required: 1 year nursing experience, stepdown/PCU experience, travel experience • Preferred: Transplant experience • Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC), Current Basic Life Support (AHA) • Required education: Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program • Must have knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures • Strong verbal and written communication skills required • Computer skills necessary Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical center providing advanced surgical and transplant services.
