Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in examination of patients and minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge procedures • Delegate tasks to support staff • Work on 4W Surgical Transplant unit caring for post-surgical kidney, liver and pancreas transplant patients • Provide care for pre-transplant patients being evaluated during inpatient stays • Monitor patients closely for infection, rejection, and ensure timely medication delivery • Must have travel experience and step down experience required • Must have level 1 experience and acute care surgical floor experience • ENT and/or Transplant experience preferred • Stepdown/PCU experience required • 1 year of nursing experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License required • Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a premier healthcare facility providing comprehensive medical services including specialized transplant programs.
