Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Provide nursing care in pediatric intensive care unit setting under general supervision • Must have 1 year of nursing experience and level I trauma experience • ICU experience required • Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in patient examination and performing minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge • Make referrals regarding patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff • Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact license, BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) • Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's preferred • Must demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs • Computer skills required Facility: This pediatric medical center specializes in comprehensive healthcare services for children, featuring advanced pediatric intensive care capabilities.
