Roles & Responsibilities Assess patients quickly and accurately on arrival to determine severity and immediate needs Perform triage and provide emergency interventions to stabilize patients and reduce long-term harm Deliver advanced life support measures and follow ACLS, PALS, BLS protocols as required Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other care team members to coordinate rapid care Document patient condition, treatments, and outcomes clearly and promptly in the medical record Educate patients and families on interventions, next steps, and follow-up care Maintain readiness by keeping certifications current and participating in unit-based improvement efforts Qualifications Oklahoma state RN license or compact privilege (required) Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience (required) Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications (required) TNCC preferred Recent traveler experience highly preferred Two supervisory reference forms dated within the last two years Up-to-date skills checklist (within 1 year) relevant to emergency nursing Candidates must provide permanent address (facility may consider local candidates differently) Knowledge & Skills Patient assessment and rapid triage skills Emergency care and advanced life support competencies Proficiency with NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Strong clinical decision-making in high-acuity situations Excellent documentation and time-management skills Teamwork and clear communication with multidisciplinary teams Ability to work independently while following facility protocols and physician orders Benefits Generous housing stipend and travel reimbursement to make your contract comfortable and stress-free Medical, Dental & Vision coverage to keep you and your family healthy 401K retirement savings plan and life insurance for long-term security Paid Time Off to recharge after intense shifts Licensure assistance & reimbursement to help you maintain credentials Referral bonus program — bring a friend and get rewarded A supportive, team-focused environment where your voice matters Quick-start placement support and dedicated recruiter assistance to get you on shift fast Travel Perks: Explore Lawton, OK Lawton is a fantastic basecamp for outdoor lovers and history buffs alike.
