ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - EP Lab Job Details: • Provide nursing care in specialty cardiac electrophysiology area under general supervision • Requires 2 recent years of experience in catheterization laboratory • Stepdown/PCU experience required • Travel experience at Level 1 preferred • Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed • Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge instructions • Oversee treatment provided by technicians or other service providers • Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate • Must complete orientation and demonstrate ability to function independently • Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License, BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all American Heart Association) • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required; Bachelor's degree preferred • Strong verbal and written communication skills required • Computer skills necessary for documentation and patient care coordination Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive specialty cardiac services including advanced electrophysiology procedures.
