Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVU - Cardiovascular Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab Job Details: • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Stepdown/PCU experience required with 2 recent years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience • Work with STEMI, Shock, VAD, ECMO, and Structural Heart procedures • Operate Phillips equipment with new Siemens imaging equipment being added • Document in Epic system and use Xper hemosystem • Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments • Assist physicians in examinations and diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data and intervene when necessary • Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products • Interact with families regarding care plans and discharge procedures • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed • Travel experience preferred (Level 1) • Required certifications: Current RN License, Basic Life Support (AHA), ACLS (AHA) • Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's preferred • Must maintain good working relationships and demonstrate strong communication skills Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing advanced cardiac care services.
