ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - FS Job Details: • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Must have Medical-Surgical (MS) and Step-Down (SD) experience required • Travel experience and Level 1 experience preferred • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary • Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge planning • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel • Delegate tasks to support staff as needed • 1 year of nursing experience required • Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License required • Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred • Strong verbal and written communication skills required • Computer skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a premier healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced patient care.
