A nursing opportunity is available for an experienced RN with stepdown skills to provide high-quality care in a specialized cardiovascular setting. This contract position is based in Elgin, OK, offering a unique chance to work in a 33-bed stepdown unit known for its cardiovascular specialty care. The unit manages complex cases including STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain evaluation, congestive heart failure, noninvasive ventilation, post-cardiothoracic surgery care, antiarrhythmic IV medication administration, and peripheral vascular compromise. Patient care ratio is 1:4, ensuring a focused care environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide nursing care for cardiovascular stepdown patients - Administer IV medications including antiarrhythmics safely - Monitor and manage complex cardiac conditions and post-operative care - Collaborate with medical staff to deliver patient-centered care - Float between stepdown, med/surg, or ER units as required - Maintain flexibility with scheduling; no block scheduling available Qualifications & Experience: - Current RN license - Minimum 2 years of experience in a stepdown unit - Strong cardiovascular nursing skills and knowledge - Ability to work 6:00 pm to 6:00 am shifts - Must have a clean disciplinary record with no actions Location Highlights:Elgin, OK is a welcoming community offering a peaceful environment with easy access to city amenities.
