Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medicine Specialty Step Down position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and at least one year of experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the Medicine Specialty Step Down unit of a hospital - Position is a 13-week contract with 12-hour day shifts, three days per week - Care for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex - No local candidates allowed within a 50-mile radius - Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including administering medication and monitoring responses - Assists physicians in patient exams and minor procedures - Documents patient responses and changes in orders - Coordinates care plans and communicates with patients and families - Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate - A six-month separation is required before reapplying after 26 weeks of assignment /n /n Requirements/n - Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact state - Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required - Minimum of one year of RN experience required - Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required - Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-653813.
