Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Oklahoma City, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,506 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT Profession: Respiratory Care Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Two years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred License: Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner Certifications: Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care Must-Have: Current Basic Life Support; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within 3 months of hire; Registered Respiratory Therapist credential within 12 months of hire Description: Under general supervision, this role provides services for the Respiratory Therapy Department in a timely and efficient manner across all age levels and areas served by the department. Administers therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff. Records treatment information and patient treatment responses in computerized medical records. Acts as a resource person to medical staff. Performs invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients. Provides age-appropriate care to patients. Ensures that respiratory equipment is cleaned and maintained. Maintains necessary respiratory therapy records. Serves as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge of procedures and techniques of Respiratory Therapy and the operation and repair of respiratory equipment is essential. Clinical decision-making skills appropriate to patient care, particularly relating to the pulmonary and cardiac systems and patient age, are necessary. Ability to interpret relevant information to identify patient needs is required. Ability to work under stress and maintain good interpersonal relationships with coworkers and staff is critical. Some computer skills are necessary for this role. Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program is required.
