Position Overview: This role involves conducting initial
assessments, creating treatment strategies, and establishing
suitable objectives to help patients reach their highest level of
functionality. Key Responsibilities: Administer and assess tests
related to musculoskeletal, neurological, and physiological
functions to evaluate performance. Formulate tailored treatment
plans based on patient assessments. Design and create orthotics and
adaptive devices. Implement treatments using exercises, manual
therapy, physical modalities, and rehabilitation techniques.
Provide education to patients and their families/caregivers
regarding patient limitations. Assist in planning and/or
facilitating patient discharge from therapy services and treatment
environments. Maintain a state of alertness and operate safely at
all times. Carry out additional tasks as assigned. Educational
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in
Occupational Therapy or a related field, as necessary for state
licensure. Experience Requirements: A minimum of three years of
relevant experience. Physical Demands: Continuous standing is
required. Regular lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of items
weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent use of hearing and speech for effective
communication. Regular auditory skills to identify body sounds and
detect alarms or malfunctioning equipment. Consistent visual acuity
for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more)
distances. Frequent walking, reaching, gripping, and data entry
activities. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling,
sitting, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements of the legs
and arms. Occasional lifting/moving of patients and objects
weighing 25-50 lbs. Occasional driving may be required. Rare
crawling may be necessary. Licensure and Certifications:
Resuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support
Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) must be obtained within 90 days of
employment. Additional resuscitation certifications may be required
based on departmental needs. State-Specific Licensure: Illinois:

Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
- Hand Therapy Certification Commission. Missouri: Occupational
Therapist - Missouri Division of Professional Registration and
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) - Hand Therapy Certification
Commission. Oklahoma: Occupational Therapist - Oklahoma Medical
Board and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) - Hand Therapy
Certification Commission. Wisconsin: Occupational Therapist (OT) -
Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services and
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) - Hand Therapy Certification
