Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/19/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures • Monitor physiological data and observe patient manifestations • Administer medications as prescribed • Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge planning • Make appropriate referrals for patient care needs • Delegate tasks to support staff • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred • Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required • Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association required • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations • Computer skills required Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a premier healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced treatments.
